Sunday Post. Goodbye Spring, Hello Summer!

Sunday Post
Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviews.
Goodbye spring. Hello summer. 🌞 I'm not ready for the hot summer days since these always make me feel lethargic and sleepy, but, hopefully, this year will be different. Why? As you might have noticed, I haven't been much around the blogosphere and that's has something to do with some good news I mentioned a few weeks ago. If you want to know to reason of my absence just click on "Read more".

This week in my life:

🌻 In the end of May, I was invited to work in my uni's research center. I'll stay there for six months, working as project technician. It might not be much, but it's a beginning and it does keep me busy and a little tired since I've to travel back and forth one hour and half almost every day.
🌻 However, all the hours spend on the train mean more time for reading.
🌻 I'm still waiting for my thesis defence to be scheduled, which is good because I need to put together an erratum and I've yet to finish it.
🌻 I don't know why, but I haven't been in the mood to binge watch series, so I've been watching some Netflix films. Last night, I watched Always Be Maybe and it's such a cute rom-com.πŸ’›
🌻 Regarding nerdy news, I'm still waiting for my copy of Crash: CTR Nitro Fueled, I'm in love with Code Vein and yet terrified and yesterday I used my Book Depository voucher and pre-ordered three new books

I know I keep repeating myself, but, once again, I didn't have much time to blog hop, but here some discussion posts that I caught my attention:

As I mentioned above, I pre-ordered three books, but it will take them a long time to find my mailbox. So, this week I only have one book to show you: The Tethered Magic by Melissa Caruso. I think it was on promotion at Kobo store because it only cost 1,99€. Although the other books on my TBR pile are starting at me angrily, I'm currently reading my newest purchase and so far so good (let's hope it stays this way because my last readings have been disappointing).

Did you have a good week? How many books did you add to your TBR pile?

  1. The reading time I get during my commute is the silver lining to having a long commute. Good luck with your new job! Thank you for sharing my post. XOXO

  3. Ooo... I do hope you enjoy The Tethered Mage - I loved the whole series, which I thought started strongly but continued to improve throughout the trilogy:). I look forward to hearing what you think of this one. Have a great week:)

  4. I really enjoyed Always Be My Maybe! You should also check out Murder Mystery with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. It was fun! I listen to audiobooks in the car whenever we're in the car for more than 15 minutes. I have to make sure it's appropriate for children, haha. ;) Thanks for sharing my post! I haven't been able to post as much lately, so I understand where you're coming from. Sometimes our sites have to take a backseat to life.

  5. Congratulations on the new position!
We still occasionally play the original Crash on our (original) PlayStation One, but I’d like the updated version for the PS4.

    Have a great reading week

  6. First of all, holy moly, your blog is BEAUTIFUL. I'm in awe. I love the colour scheme and design. It's so aesthetically pleasing and soft and ugh, I adore it. Back to the post--congrats on your new work at the research center! That's so exciting. I hope you enjoy it and it treats you well! Always Be My Maybe was SO freaking adorable, I agree. I think it may be my new favourite from Netflix's romcom films. I just loved it.

P.S., I am the same way about summer days.

    Have a good week!

  7. Congrats on the position! And extra reading time is always welcome... No sense in wasting the commute time. ;)

I love retellings too... I wish I read more of them. Think that'll be a reading challenge I take on next year.

  8. I loved Always Be My Maybe! There seriously haven't been any good rom-coms since the late 90's early 2000's! I'm glad rom-coms are starting to be a thing again! Have a great week!!

  12. YAY! I love even small steps forward. So congrats on your position and the unexpected benefit of more reading time!

  13. It's awesome you've been invited to stay on as prject technician and even if it means being tireder at elast you have chance to get some reading in. I love the chance to read during my commute. And I'd not seen anything about Code Vein but it's now instantly been added to my must play lsit after watching! I have been looking for a good game to play but now it seems like all the good games are coming out!

Hope you enjoy The Tethered Mage. I was really enjoying it when I picked it up and then for some reason I just fell out of the mood for reading it. It was a really interesting concept though and I've seen plenty of good reviews.

  14. Congratulations on the position! And I also do most of my reading while commuting.

  15. It sounds like things are going well, work-wise. I wouldn't mind a long commute, if I didn't have to drive. It's gosh-awful stressful having a Houston commute! I did that for two years and I just couldn't do it any more.

Thanks for sharing the links to other blogs. I like that a lot.

    Enjoy your week!

  16. Congratulations on the new job, Tania, (albeit a temporary position). Nice that you can use the long daily commute to get some reading in.
Hope you have a great week and enjoy your reads.
