Sunday Post. The Month After Halloween

Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviews.
Is October already over? Has another Halloween come to an end? Can you believe there're less than two months until Christmas? CAN YOU BELIEVE SPYRO: REIGNITED TRILOGY WILL BE RELEASE IN NINE DAYS?! *takes a deep breath and calms down* How's everyone doing? Has November been nice to you? I've been in one of my moods, but I'm trying not to fall into the dark. I really wanted to join NaNoWriMo this year, but I can't decided which WIP I want to work on and I've my thesis to write. Life decisions... Anyway, today I'm sharing a monthly recap and I'll try focusing on all the positivity.

What happened in October:

🍁 I read seven books in the past month: An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson, Pax by Sara Pennypacker, Sunscorched by Jen Crane, Ink and Spark by Alice Broadway, City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab and Vengeful by V.E. Schwab. I've read so far 65 books this year. If you'd like to get any of the books mentioned above, please use my affiliate link - a girl needs to pay her MA degree.
🍁 I'm once again part of the bookstagram family.
🍂 As mentioned before, I finished a chapter for my thesis and I'm now working on a second chapter. But to tell the truth, I'm not happy with what I'm doing. Perhaps, I'll step back for a bit and see what should I donext...
🍁 The MediEvil announce trailer was released. Sir Dan is back! Sorry guys, but my inner child is so excited because of all this childhood nostalgia.
🍂 I binge watched The Haunting of House Hill. I've no words to describe how astonishing and ghostly the series is. I'm even thinking about writing an essay on it for a cfp. To everyone who haven't watched it yet, please, do it. Go get scared. I may now finish watching in piece Brooklyn 99 and The Mentalist.

ON THE BLOG
  • I joined the first prompt of Blogoween. I participated on the Halloween Creatures Tag 2.0. This post contains lots of fangirling, ghosts and gifs from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
  • Halloween yet? Because Halloween was still so far away, I shared with you some Halloween recommendations that I believed to be perfect readings while waiting for the most terrifying night of the year.
  • I was part of the Sunscorched Blog Tour. If you've missed a good environmental dystopia as much as I, then you should add this little harsh and darkly book to your wishlist.
  • I've joined Mythoton, a month long Greek mythology inspired read-a-thon hosted by  Louise @Foxes and Fairytales. I'd love to read twenty-five books, but I can hardly read five books per month. I'm hoping to at least complete the prompts I picked books for.

📚 MINI BOOK HAUL 📚

If you've read my last Sunday Post, you may remember I celebrated the fact that I didn't haul a single book. It seems I lied. *blushes* Well, maybe not lying, because I simply forget that that week I received in my mailbox the Collector's Edition of Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. I'm not sure how I forgot about it since this book is so freaking gorgeous! Just take a look at the details. *.* I pre-ordered it as soon as it was announced that it was coming out and when I finally receive this gem, I forget to talk about it. I need a new brain...or maybe to sleep twenty-four hours.

Happy November Booklovers!

  9. The Six of Crows cover is gorgeous. Yes Halloween is over but I am not ready for Christmas quite yet. I want to enjoy autumn and Thanksgiving. Altho, after today it's going to feel more like winter. Here's to a great month with reading for you! Anne - Books of My Heart

  10. I hope you'll figure out your thesis soon. Those are so hard. :( Maybe make a list and note down what you want/need in it and how to achieve that writing wise or something before continuing. Even if it isn't perfect at least that way you have some more base lines.
