Sunday Post. Happy New Year!

Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviews.

2021 was, without a doubt, not my blogging year. Nor my reading year. Every time I felt inspired to return, it only lasted a few days (not long enough for me to write and/or complete any new post). I will now keep on hoping 2022 is better because, as I have written a thousand times before, I love rambling about books, sharing my most anticipated releases, shamelessly showing all the books on my TBR pile, and being part of an open-hearted community. Let us hope 2022 will be a better year for My Lovely Secret. 🤞

What happened this week:

🌻 I decided not to officially join any reading challenge. I set my Goodreads goal (twenty-four books since 2021 was such a bad reading year), and that's all for now. Maybe if I find myself able to read, I may change my mind.
🌻 To welcome the new year and my latest attempt to get back at blogging, I'm hosting a book giveaway over Twitter.
🌻 I created an account at The Storygraph because I love  all the graphs. However, I'm still learning how to use it. 😅

 
This Poison Heart by Kalynn Bayron and For The Wolf by Hannah Whitten were Christmas gifts from me to me. 😜 I read Cinderella is Dead back in August, and I immensely enjoyed it (it was my first five-stars book of the year), so I cannot wait to dive into Bayron's new story. I got Bound by Firelight by Dana White through Penguin's rep international program (I haven't been kicked out yet 😅), and I'm currently reading it -- so far, so good.

    Hopefully 2022 will be good for you! I also only just set a GR goal. 2021 wasn't my best either....

    It's good to see you posting again. I do hope this year is better for all of us. I am too lazy to migrate my stuff from Goodreads, but I have seen some of those snazzy Storygraph graphics.

    I feel you on 2021 not being the year for blogging. I kept trying to come back and I just couldn't get into it. I'm hoping I'll be better about it this year, I'm trying to come back anyway. I miss the community even if I'm not reading loads or ready to write long reviews. I just miss talking books. I've also joined Storygraph, it's an adjustment but I'm trying to use it alongside Goodreads.

    Of course 2022 is going to be a good year for you and your lovely blog! You are planting the flowers and they will bloom. Glad to see you back on the blogosphere. I had a rough 2021 and didn't get to the blog as much as I wanted to. I have this gorgeous new template, but still haven't spend enough time on it to see how it works.
