Sunday Post. Good Morning Book Lovers

Good morning book lovers! How is everyone doing? 😊 It has been a while since I joined this meme (I was going to join it last week, but I was part of a blog tour). However that doesn't mean I've much to share. A few stressful days here and there, some sleepless nights because of the warm weather and lots of struggling to tackle down my book pile. But shall we talk about happier things?

These past weeks in my life:

🌻 This is actually not very happy, but I've been struggling to find time to blog. Working, studying and blogging doesn't blend too well. I really need to manage my time better.
🌻 I think I'll be defending my thesis in the end of the month - still waiting for a confirmation letter.

🌻 One week ago (on the 7th), I celebrated my birthday! 🎉
🌻 I'm finally back watching TV series. I can't say I have been binge watching it, but I'm currently watching the third season of Stranger Things and I'm loving it.

• This was actually one of my favourite book tags so far. I had so much fun joining the Mid-Year Freak Out Book Tag. Of course, it was very difficult to narrow down my answers only to one book for each prompt (clearly, I didn't do it), but gushing about the few books I've read so far this year was a blast.

• I shared my second quarter reading and blogging update. I'm actually proud with my progress. I have wrote many discussion posts and even though I haven't been reading much I'm slowly reaching my reading goals.

• THERE IS STILL TIME TO JOIN THE GIVEAWAY (US only, sorry). Now that this is off my chest, last week I joined the Spin the Dawn Blog Tour, hosted by The Fantastic Flying Book Club. Spin the Dawn is one of my favourite books of 2019, so I must warn you that my review contains a lot of fangirling.

• Dani @Perspective of a Writer shared some of her favourite book themes.

• Inge @Of Wonderland joined "What Cats Do" book tag and if you know me, you know that I'm joining it too.

• Kristen @Metaphors and Moonlight talked about how she changed as a reader because of blogging. 

• Sam @We Live and Breathe Books asked if the death of a secondary character can ruin a book for you.

 

 

Since I still had some money to spend from a Kobo voucher that I got a long time ago (not sure how I restrained myself and didn't spend it as soon as I got it), this week I bough two books: Garden of Thorns by Amber Mitchel, which I had been eyeing for more than half an year, and Stolen Enchantress by Amber Argyle, a retelling of The Pied Piper and Beauty and the Beast. Have you read any of these?
