Sunday Post. Release the Dragons!

Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviews.
There's a Portuguese expression that describes perfectly my week: I died to the world (I'm not sure if this translation makes sense). This week between NaNoWriMo (which I'm taking a break from because I've Carpal tunnel syndrome and its affecting me a lot writing so much every day. Or maybe I'll just write 1k words per day), playing Spyro Reignited Trilogy (I can't believe the game is finally here) and a few other things that kept me too busy, I have stayed inside my cocoon. I know it isn't good for my mental health so much time away from the "real world", but I'll be ready to face it this week... I promise!

What happened this week:

🍁 SPYRO IS OFFICIALLY BACK AND I CAN'T STOP PLAYING! I solemnly swear that I didn't cry when I saw the intro.
🍂 #Mythothon Update. Because of NaNoWriMo and Spyro, I haven't read too much. However, I read Paper Girl by Cindy R. Wilson and crossed the Hades prompt from my list. I'm now reading three books (I think I'm going through a little slump), Escaping from Houdini (Ancient Greece) by Kerri Maniscalco, The Girl from the Well (Echidna) by Rin Chupeco and Warrior Witch (Athena) by Danielle L. Jensen. Let's see if I can finish them this week.
🍁 Did you get yourself a copy Spyro Reignited Trilogy? If so, are you currently releasing the dragons, collecting orbs or rescuing dragon eggs?

ON THE BLOG
  • To celebrate the release of Spyro Reignited Trilogy, I created a Spyro Book Tag. Even if you never played the game, you can join because it's all about books. Ps. If you love talking about books and are reading this consider yourself tagged.

📚 MINI BOOK HAUL 📚

What did I get myself this week? Well, I think I didn't buy a single book, but you know me. Last time I celebrated my self-control, a few days after I realized that I had indeed bought one book and I didn't remember about it. Does it ever happen to you? Do you usually forget the books you buy? Is it a bookworm coping technique not to freak about the too many books we keeping adding to our TBR pile?

Have a happy week Book Dragons!

  2. Aww, Spyro is just adorable. I can see how you'd be a little addicted to him. :-) I've definitely bought books before and then forgotten them. Must be our brain's defense mechanism. :-)

  5. Glad to hear you're having so much fun with Spyro! I still have my old games and a PS2 so I still play the old games, but I'd love to try the reignited trilogy! That SPyro book tag sounds like so much fun too!

  6. Sounds like you're having a great time with Spyro. I've never played before but I've heard it's fun.

And yes, I forget about books I've purchased all the time. I usually have to write them down so that I remember them all for my STS post, lol.

  7. I love Spyro! So glad you're enjoying playing. I am loving it but I forgot all the little things that make me boil with rage (like the little blue dragon thief who taunts you and makes you lose so many lives!).

  8. It has been a long while since my Spyro days. I hope you are celebrating your no haul week without treating yourself with more book hauls.

  9. I played so much Spyro when I was a kid. It was my second favorite game (after The Sims). I’m glad that the new Spyro is fun. Have a great week!

I did buy a few things because of all the deals. I hope this week you ventured out into a great new world. Anne - Books of My Heart
