Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl. |

1. Sloan. First, he's literally a monster - a Malchai. Secondly, he viciously murders innocents, bathing in their blood, and physically and mentally scarred my Kate.
2. The Raven in Red. "All winter, she stole children ... lured them away from warm beds and parents' arms and safe places. Their bodies were found outside her door, frozen on their feet." Enough said, right? This is one deadly villainous ghost.

3. Uriel. SPOILERS! For someone who tried to stage the Apocalypse, destroy humanity, provoked havoc and death with his monstrous creations, Uriel should have suffered a lot more. His dismissal fell short after everything he did and put Raffe through.
4. Rafette. This beekeeper stalked Angie from the first page. I get: he wanted to break his curse. However, he violated the beekeeper "code" and was ready to sacrifice innocents to fulfil his goal.

5. Naughty John. Even in his ghost form, he slaughters his victims. But what makes him a memorable villain is his creepy whistling and this nightmarish rhyme he recites as he stalks his victims.
6. The Sea Queen. She's ruthless, heartless and rules the Kingdom of Ketos with an iron fish. Not even her daughter can escape her wrath.
I have not read any of these, but I have seen many a Schwab book today.
ReplyDeleteI'm writing my MA thesis on Schwab, so I can't resist adding her and her books to any list or tag. =P Happy readings, Sam!
DeleteI love me some villains and Schwab writes them best! I recently bought To Kill a Kingdom and am excited to hopefully fall in love with Lira!
ReplyDeleteSome of these books are on my TBR list, so I’m glad they have good villains. I need to reread This Savage Song. I haven’t read the sequel, and I don’t remember anything that happens in the first book.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Ooh! I'm planning on reading To Kill a Kingdom soon so your thoughts about the Sea Queen is making me excited.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I was traveling this week so didn't do this TTT, but if I had, Sloan and the Sea Queen would have made my list too.
