Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviews. |
Happy Sunday! How's everyone doing? How many books did you read this week? How many did you buy? 😊 This was not a chaotic week, but as you will see below, it wasn't a good week concerning my health. But, at least, I had free time to do many things that I have been putting off.
What happened in my life this week:
🌻 Stomach bug attack! Which means, I stayed at home all week.
🌻 But I finished two books (must write the reviews now 🙈) and started A Madness so Discreet by Mindy McGinnis. Silver lining, right?
🌻 Also worked on my dissertation - anyone interested in dystopias and monsters? 🙋
🌻 And, watched four films: The Room of Disappointments (2016), Assassin's Creed (2016), Girl on the Train (2016) & Split (2016).
🌻 Still impatiently waiting for my Black Friday/Cyber Monday orders to arrive.
🌻 Joined the #ReadersCrossing hosted by @Read at Midnight, which starts today.
🌻 Last week, I reached the goal of 50k words on my NaNoWriMo project. So proud of myself!
LAST WEEKS ON THE BLOG...
- Shared two more 2018 releases that I can't wait to get my hands on: Reign the Earth by A.C. Gaughen and Everless by Sara Holland. I'm just so in love with the premise of these two books. To marry a tyrant to save her people? To extract blood to increase one's blood span? My expectations are really high.
- If you want to know what I've been up to in November, you can take a look at my November's monthly recap. Regarding readings, it was a bad month, but I hope December can make it up. I need to end 2017 with a bang.
- Bookish pet peeves. Do you have any? I surely do have a lot of them. And, you'll probably think I'm crazy or your best friend after reading this new My Bookish Life post.
- As mentioned above, #ReadersCrossing starts today and this week and this week I shared my sign up post. If you could recommend me books for any square, I would appreciate it. 💕
📚 MINI BOOK HAUL 📚
Ooh, the stomach bug is no fun! Glad you're better now. As for the movies, I loved The Girl on the Train and have it in my video library on Amazon Prime. I started to watch Split, but it creeped me out when he put on that weird mask. LOL
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
I was not expecting to love The Girl on the Train as much as I did. Maybe it's time for me to read the book now (yes, I watched the film before reading the book *hides in a corner*). Split can be scary, but the premise is indeed interesting.
DeleteHappy readings! ;)
Sorry to hear you were under the weather. Stomach things are the WORST! But, I like that you found that silver lining. I need to see some of those movies you mentioned, especially The Girl on the Train. I loved that book!
ReplyDeleteI'm learning to find a silver lining instead of being a pessimist all the time. I hope you've a chance to watch The Girl on the Train soon because it's amazing.
DeleteHappy readings! ;)
Sorry to hear you aren't feel well, sending well wishes your way. We watched The Room of Disappointments and Split and loved them! Enjoy your new addition, I will have check Ingited now.
ReplyDeleteThank you. :) I was happy to find these films and enjoy them because, usually, I always watch bad films. =P
DeleteHappy readings!
I also had a stomach bug attack! It must be going all around everywhere... Boyfriend also had it.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, even though I stayed home, I also had to work -.- so books didn't get read. Much.
Congrats about NaNo! That's great :)
Stomach bugs are attacking everywhere. -.- Thank you. Happy readings! ;)

DeleteOh no, sorry to hear about the stomach bug. That's miserable. Hope you're much better now. I had quite an issue getting a couple of my orders delivered. And UPS wasn't exactly being helpful. Thankfully the last one finally showed on Thursday. Big congrats on reaching your NaNo goal!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you. :) I hate when shipping companies aren't helpful. Here in Portugal there is one that no matter how many times you call, they never answer! And, they ignore your e-mails. So frustrating! >=(
DeleteHappy readings! ;)
Sorry you were sick, but I'm glad you got reading done at least. And congrats on meeting your NaNo goal!!
ReplyDeleteNicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
That was the good side of being sick. Thank you. Happy readings! ;)
DeleteEveryone was sick this week. Please get better! But at least being sick allowed you some time to read books (I guess).
ReplyDeleteHave a great week! Get better!
It seems that everyone was attacked by germs, sadly. Thanks you. Happy readings! ;)

ReplyDeleteThank you. And, yes, I'm back to my old self. Happy readings! ;)
DeleteOh...everyone must have had the stomach bug. Mine is hopefully done.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good week for you.
Have a good week this week.
Elizabeth
It does feel everyone is dealing with stomach bug. Happy readings! ;)
DeleteI'm sorry to hear about your stomach bug :( It must've been a nasty one if kept you out of commission all week, but at least you got some books read :) Your dissertation includes dystopias and monsters?! I'm intrigued! Have a great week, Tânia!
ReplyDeleteIt was a nasty one. It wasn't the first time that I got sick with a stomach bug, but it was the first time that I felt so bad that I could not leave home (or work on my dissertation). Yes, it does. I wanted to work on something out of the box and dystopias and monsters sounded an uncommon idea.
DeleteHappy readings Lauren! ;)
Sorry to hear about the stomach bug. I hope you'll be feeling better soon. Since I had a week off from work I read four books and bought none. Amazing right? Whaha.. I'm really proud of not having bought any new books.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
Thank you. That's ah-mazing indeed. I always feel proud of myself when I don't buy books - my bank account feels even happier. Happy readings! ;)
DeleteStomach bugs are yucky. AcK! I'm glad you got some reading done. I've just been reading with my daughter before bed, so kids books. :)
ReplyDeleteAlways look for silver lining. Happy readings! ;)
DeleteI hope you're feeling better soon. Congrats on reaching 50,000 words on NaNoWriMo. That's fantastic!
