Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish |
I don't plan to have these books in my beach bag because I don't go to the beach. I live so near the beatch (5 minutes away by foot) that I simply got tired of it. But I plan to have these books in my shelves/Kobo this Summer. Also, every book in this list has yet to be released.
Faking Perfect, Rebecca Phillips - I discovered this book on NetGalley. I've been trying to read more contemporary romances and this seems a good one. Also, it kinda reminds me of The Duff - and I adored The Duff.
Mechanica, Betsy Cornwell - This book is a Cinderella retelling. My short-list couldn't be complete without a fairy tale retelling. Haven't you seen how many times I write about this genre? My last TTT was about fairy tale retellings.
Rebel Mechanics, Shanna Swendson - Alternative U.S. history with magic and spies? It has everything this history geek likes.
The Fangirl's Guide to the Galaxy, Sam Maggs - I think every fangirl understands the reason why I - WE! - need this book.
The Stars Never Rise, Rachel Vincent - Sadly, I've never read anything from Rachel Vincent even though I've wanted to read Soul Screamers and Shifters. I'm hoping The Stars Never Rise will finally put me on track to read her other series.
The Witch Hunter, Virginia Boecker - "The magic and suspense of Graceling meet the political intrigue and unrest of Game of Thrones in this riveting fantasy debut." This was pretty much all I had to read before adding it to my wishlist. Graceling and Game of Thrones? Sold!
The Fangirl's Guide to the Galaxy sounds and looks, based on its cover, really cute! Happy reading! :)
ReplyDeleteThe essential guide for a fangirl =P
DeleteThank you. Happy reading as well! :)
Love the variety for your list of summer reading. I will be reading Faking Perfect too. Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you. I want to expand my horizons - even though I always try to read a bit of everything, I still read tons and tons of fantasy - and this list of summer reading will, hopefully, help me.
DeleteHappy readings! :)
