Sunday Post. Happy Easter!

Sunday Post
Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviews.
Hello book lovers. How are you doing? 😊 Since I'm almost done with my thesis, I decided to give myself an indulgent week. But those are not only the good news. As I told you before, I'm going through a blogging slump. To battle my lack of will to write and create content, I sat in front of my laptop and forced myself to do it. Not saying the slump is over, but I did share some new posts!

This week in my life:

🌻 After ten years without drawing, I decided to work on some digital draws. It has been a fun experience. I ended up sharing my little purple dragon.
🌻 Finished watching The Sinner (so many twists), watched Black Summer (I was expecting so much more) and I'm now watching The Umbrella Academy (so much love for Klaus).
🌻 Since I gave myself an indulgent week, there was a lot of Sims 4. I still missing Sims 2. Now, it's time for Kingdom Hearts II. 🎮
🌻 Have you seen the trailer for Child's Play?!

  • In a first attempt to get out of my blogging slump, after listening to the kind words of some lovely bloggers,  I took part of the Disney Book Tag. If you love Disney, you should join this tag too.
  • My thesis might be almost over, but I still have to defend it and I can't lose track of any argument. So, I took advantage of my discussion of the importance of YA literature and wrote a discussion post in which I wonder about what makes a novel young adult.
  • Yesterday, I took part in another book tag: The Pancake Book Tag aka the most delicious book tag. 🥞 I'll always take any opportunity to drooling over food and ramble/gush about books.

Once again, I've only added one new book to my ever-growing TBR pile. Maybe next week I'll have a few more books to show, since I went on a NetGalley spree. I bought Jade City by Fonda Lee. I heard so many wonderful things about this book that when I saw it on Kobo store at such a low price, I didn't resist buying it. Have you read it?

To everyone who celebrates it, Happy Easter!

  1. It won't be long and you will be completely finished with your thesis. Life will be happy again.

I've been doing lots of drawing and baking lately. I've never had any training in drawing or baking, but I love doing both very much.

I'd like to invite you to join in at Sunday Salon on my blog each weekend, too. Sunday Salon has been around for about twelve years, but I've just taken over the meme, and I hope to build it up again to becoming a great place to share links and visit other blogs and talk books.

    1. Thank you. I can't believe how close I'm of finishing my thesis. :) I also didn't have any training in drawing, but I've always enjoyed it and I've decided to give it an opportunity.

Thank you for letting me know about Sunday Salon. :)

      Happy readings!

    1. Yes! I only learned this week about the film (there's even a poster in where Chucky killed Woody from Toy Story). Thank you, Sam. So close of finally being done with it. Happy readings! ;)

  3. You can do digital draws? I dream of being able to do so but so far only pen and paper or sharpie for this girl ;-)

    1. I can, but only on a tablet and with a digital pen (on computer, I can't draw anything, just built/create designs). I'm sure if you try, you'll be able to do it too.

      Happy readings!;)

  4. I miss Sims 2 but Sims 4 is a pretty good alternative. I actually have Sims 2 but uninstalled because I think I have moved on to Sims 4 now. The graphics are better and I love the ability for sims to multi task. And good for you forcing yourself to try to blog, I've liked the posts I've seen so far. I hope it works to get you back into blogging. I also have Jade City on my shelves, I hope the both of us enjoy it.

    1. I do have Sims 2 too, but it doesn't work on my laptop. I'll never be able to play it again and that makes me sad since I bought every single expansion. However, even though I miss it, Sims 4 is so much fun!!! The multi task ability is one of my favourite things about the game - eating and watching TV at the same time is perfect for the Sims needs.

      Aww, thank you. <3

If you ever want to buddy read Jade City, let me know. :)

      Happy readings! ;)

    1. I'm actually excited about this one (I hated the previous sequels/remakes - not sure what to call them) since now Chucky is a robot that seems to malfunction instead of a possessed doll.

      Happy readings! ;)

I loved the Umbrella Academy. It was off the wall crazy but it just ticked my boxes (and Klaus was my fav too).

  18. Initially, I didn't like Klaus, but he really started to grow on me! I think he shows the most character development by the end of the season. Just wait until you meet ----! It's someone very important to Klaus. I hope you enjoy the rest of it! I'm curious what they will do with a second season.

    1. I must confess that I had my doubts about Klaus in the beginning, but then he became my favourite. He really did grow a lot throughout the series. Me too. Hopefully, it will be as amazing as the first one.
