1. Moon Called by Patricia Briggs - The first book of one of the most amazing urban fantasy series that I've had the pleasure to read. It's a must read for urban fantasy lovers - well, for any fantasy lover. Plus, no one writes werewolves like Briggs does.
2. Heart's Blood by Juliet Marillier - For everyone who loves fairy-tales retellings. It's the best book I've ever read based on "Beauty and the Beast". 
3. Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder - For fantasy lovers. Also, the protagonist isn't a teenager and that is a plus when most fantasy books are rated young adult (not that I mind).
4. Delirium by Lauren Oliver - For fans of dystopian books (and dystopian movies; and dystopian TV series, etc.). It makes wonder what would be the world like without love.
5. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge - The perfect book for Greek mythology and fairy-tales lovers.
6. Daughter of the Blood by Anne Bishop - Dark fantasy. Anne Bishop. Enough said!
7. The Boy with the Cuckoo-Clock Heart by Mathias Malziu - As it was written in a review, "a fairy-tale for Tim Burton admirers". The perfect words to describe this book are "cute" and "heart-breaking".
8. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell - I may not consider it a good representation of the fanfiction world, but Rowell's characters and writing style are adorable.   
9. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen - Everyone has to read at least one Austen romance. The romance between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy inspired - and stills inspires - many writers. 
10. The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger - A coming of age novel that may help dealing with many issues. A lesson of how it's to grow up.
